If your app isn’t working as expected, don’t worry — most problems can be fixed quickly with a few simple steps. This guide covers common issues like app crashes, stuck uploads, syncing errors, and printer problems.


App Crashes & Persistent Glitches

An app closing unexpectedly is considered a crash. While some glitches are random and temporary, recurring issues will require troubleshooting.

Steps to Fix

  1. Prepare to reinstall
    Make sure you’re connected to WiFi and have both your Simple Booth login and Apple ID credentials ready.
    📍 Pending uploads will be lost if you delete the app before checking your queue.

    Classic Users Only:
    📍 Sign in with the same Apple ID used for your original purchase before reinstalling.

  2. Check for updates
    Ensure your iOS is current. The latest app versions require iOS 17 or later.

  3. Delete & reinstall the app

    1. Delete the app from your iPad.

Pictures Are Stuck

If pictures aren’t uploading to your gallery or sending via text/email, the issue is usually caused by slow WiFi or an outdated app version.

Steps to Fix

  • Check for updates
    Ensure your iOS and app are up to date.
    📍 If your app is only slightly outdated and you’re at an event, updating can wait, but be sure to update before your next event.

  • Check your offline queue
    Pending photos will automatically upload and send once a stable WiFi connection is restored.

    💡 Slow venue WiFi can delay uploads and updates.


Settings Aren’t Syncing

Syncing issues typically happen due to poor connectivity or outdated software.

Steps to Fix

  1. Check for updates
    The latest app versions require iOS 17 or later.

  2. Refresh the app
    Quit and reopen, or pull to refresh, to trigger syncing.

  3. Check your WiFi connection
    Confirm connectivity with a speed test or by opening a website.

  4. Adjust settings manually if needed
    Most settings can be updated directly in the app while waiting for a full sync.
