App Crashes And Persistent Glitches

An app closing unexpectedly is referred to as a "crash." Plenty of software glitches are just a one-time random occurrence that don't need to be addressed, but others can occur repeatedly.

Both types of problems can be resolved by deleting the app from your device and reinstalling it from the App Store.

  1. Make sure you have access to WiFi and know your Simple Booth login credentials. You may also need your Apple ID credentials.

  2. Check your queue if possible. Deleting the app also deletes pending items in your queue.

    1. Check for an iOS update. The latest app versions require iOS 16 or later.

  3. Delete the app (follow these instructions if you are not familiar with the process).

  4. Visit the App Store and search for your product's name ("Simple Booth HALO" or "Simple Booth Classic"), then re-download.

Classic users also need to be sure they are signed in with the Apple ID they originally purchased the app with.


Pictures Aren’t Uploading Or Sending Out To Participants

This is normally related to WiFi connectivity or running an outdated app version.

  1. Check for an iOS and app update. The latest app versions require iOS 16 or later.

  2. Check your app's offline queue. If you are fully updated and the pictures appear as "pending" in your offline upload queue, you have nothing to worry about and your pictures will upload & send out as soon as you reconnect to a more reliable WiFi network.


Settings Aren’t Syncing To The App

This is normally related to WiFi connectivity or running an outdated app version.

  1. Check for an iOS and app update. The latest app versions require iOS 16 or later.

  2. Quitting and re-opening the app, or pulling to refresh will sync the app to your online settings as long as you're connected to WiFi.

  3. Check your WiFi connection. You can use an internet speed test or simply open a browser on your iPad and try to visit any website.

If you are in a pinch, most settings can be updated from the app, meaning you do not need to wait for things to sync.
