Estimate how many credits you will need to run Virtual Booth

Written by Emily Devlin

This guide will help you estimate the number of credits required for your upcoming event to ensure your AI Effects run smoothly without interruption. You can purchase additional credits at any time from your account dashboard.

1. Understanding Credit Usage

Account credits power advanced AI features like Post-Capture AI Effects and background replacement.

  • When credits are used: Credits are only consumed when a specific AI effect is actively run during a live session.

  • What is free: Testing and refining your AI effect prompts in the dashboard does not use credits.

  • What happens if you run out: If your balance reaches zero, all credit-based features will stop working immediately.

2. Determine Your "Credits Per Session"

The number of credits used per photo session depends on your chosen AI model and whether you allow guests to regenerate their images.

AI Model Costs

Each model has a different credit cost per generation based on its complexity and speed:

Model

Credits Per Generation

Nano Banana
Best for fastest results; individual participants

1x

Nano Banana 2
Best for balance of speed/quality; groups up to 5

2x

Nano Banana Pro
Best for best quality; groups up to 5

3x

Regeneration Costs

If you enable Guest Regenerations, guests can try again if they aren't satisfied with the first result.

  • Each regeneration attempt costs the same amount of credits as the initial generation.

  • Example: Using Nano Banana Pro (3 credits) with 1 allowed regeneration means a single session could cost up to 6 credits.

3. The Calculation Formula

To calculate the total credits needed for your event, use the following formula:

[Estimated Total Sessions] × [Max Credits Per Session] = Total Credits Needed

Example Calculation

  • Estimated Sessions: 200 guests

  • Model: Nano Banana 2 (2 credits)

  • Regenerations: 1 allowed (2 credits)

  • Max Credits Per Session: 4 credits

  • Calculation: 200 sessions × 4 credits = 800 credits needed

4. Check Your Current Balance

Before buying more, check if you have an existing balance from your subscription or previous purchases.

  • Complimentary Credits: New subscribers receive a one-time credit bonus based on their plan. These credits expire after 1 year.

  • Monitoring Balance: You can check your remaining balance anytime on your account dashboard. You will also receive email alerts when credits are running low or have been fully used.

5. Purchasing Additional Credit

If your estimate exceeds your current balance, you can purchase more credits in the dashboard.

  • Pricing: Credits cost $0.10 each.

  • Increments: Available in bundles of 100 to 10,000.

  • Expiration: Unlike complimentary credits, purchased credits do not expire.
