Learn how to navigate your in-app settings and launch your booth experience using the Classic app.

1. Sign Into the Classic app

Simple Booth offers a couple app versions—your account will only work with the Classic app.

  • Make sure you’re using the Classic app, not HALO

  • Sign in with your account credentials

Does it look like you need to pay again?

Your Classic purchase is associated with your Apple ID -- in order to re-download the app without needing to pay again, you have a couple of options:

  • Log into your iPad with the same Apple ID that you originally used to purchase the app with.

  • Share the app to a new Apple ID via Family Sharing

⚠️ If you're not sure what Apple ID account you purchased Classic under, search your inbox(es) for a receipt or check your purchase history in iTunes.

If we had this info on our end we'd be happy to share it, but Apple actually doesn't share that type of personal information with app developers like Simple Booth for privacy purposes.

2. In App Settings Navigation

After signing in you’ll land on your booth's settings page. To run your booth, you’ll launch from your settings page.

At the bottom of the screen, you’ll also see tabs for:

  • Galleries

  • Offline Queue

3. How To Launch

When you’re ready, tap the purple "Launch" button in the top-right corner of your settings page.

4. PreFlight Check

After tapping Launch, you'll arrive at the Preflight Check screen — a helpful tool designed to:

Confirm Permissions

If it’s your first time launching the app after installation, you’ll be prompted to grant permissions (e.g., camera access).

These must be enabled before launch buttons become accessible.

Choose Your Launch Mode

  • Test Mode: Allows you to return to settings easily while you're getting set up

  • Booth Mode: Locks the app into a loop for participants; works best with Guided Access to prevent exiting

Review Device Status

The lower section of the Preflight Check lists helpful system info and setup reminders:

  • Warnings (e.g., low storage, not plugged in) will appear at the top

  • General info (e.g., connected WiFi, linked gallery) will appear below

5. Returning to your settings

Returning to settings during your event isn’t obvious, and that’s intentional.

It prevents guests from accidentally or intentionally accessing configuration options.
